SuperHeroHype.com is reporting that composer Hans Zimmer will be creating a new theme of Batman that will be featured in next year’s The Dark Knight.  “There is a big Batman theme which I was playing with for the last one, but I always felt the character hadn’t earned it yet, so I just want to go and play around, and I now want to go and complete that theme, so that’s part of the idea,” explained Zimmer.  ”I felt I had a good start, and now it would be really nice to develop that world a little further.”

In addition to The Dark Knight and Batman Begins, Zimmer wrote the score for The Simpsons Movie which is currently in theaters.

THE DARK KNIGHT ATTEMPTS TO SHOOT IN SECRECY

The Chicago Tribune reports that the producers of The Dark Knight continue to refer to the film as Rory’s First Kiss to help keep onlookers to the various Chicago sets to a minimum.  They have even gone so far as put up a Rory’ First Kiss casting site up.

Though filming is daily news in the city of Chicago, producers insist using signage with the initials “RFK” instead of The Dark Knight helps control crowds to the often open sets.  “We respect the fact that the studio is still calling it Rory’s First Kiss, especially if Batman draws more problems, in terms of crowd control,” said Chicago Film Office director Rich Moskal.  “But, clearly, there’s no sense pretending it’s not a ‘Batman’ movie.”

This is not the first time a Batman film has gone into production using a pseudonym.  Batman Begins filmed in Chicago back in 2004 under the title The Intimidation Game.
