Batman Begins  and The Dark Knight production company Legendary Pictures has extended its deal with Warner Bros. through 2012 Variety reports.  The deal includes an additional $1 billion in financing which Legendary will use to co-finance new projects with Warner Bros.

In addition to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, Legendary Pictures has produced the films 300 and Superman Returns with Warner Bros.  In the pipeline for the company is the DC comic’s The Losers, an adaptation of the television series Kung Fu and a remake of Clash of the Titans.

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. began their partnership in 2005.
