SPIELBERG BOOKS DARK KNIGHT SCRIBE FOR INTERSTELLAR JOURNEY
Tue, Mar 27, 2007
Steven Spielberg has hired The Dark Knight screenwriter Jonathan Nolan (brother of director Christopher Nolan) to pen the script for his upcoming sci-fi flick Interstellar. The film revolves around the research of physicist Kip Thorne and his theory on the existance of wormholes that could lead to other times and dimensions.
Spielberg plans for Interstellar to be his next directing gig following the fourth Indiana Jones film which is scheduled to begin shooting this June for a May 2008 release. This would give Nolan plenty of time to continue working on The Dark Knight. Nolan’s previous writing credits include The Prestige and the original short story that inspired Memento.
